That's very sad. 56 is a ridiculously early age to die :( All men should have a PSA test annually when they hit the age of 50.

The Grump had one in September as his older brother has prostate cancer with all the unpleasant side-effects of the surgery :(

Happily the Grump has a nice low PSA level.

I don't know who he is but it's terribly sad. My dad had prostate cancer and you're right Af, all men should be tested the same as women are for breast cancer and cervical smears.

Fogelberg's a popular singer, folky sounding music. He was most popular in the late 70's early 80's I'd say in the US.

My dad escaped his advanced prostate cancer by having surgery and radiation on top of one another, then follow ups like crazy. He is now a 15 year survivor.

Smart dad you have there.

Never learned much about DF since I was into his music before the information age, but he sounds a bit Viggo'ish after reading about him. :)
