Can you hear me now?
Jul. 12th, 2007 06:00 amFew technological advances have changed our lives as much as cellular phones. Cell phones are, of course, both a curse and a blessing. They are priceless in the event of an emergency. And they keep us connected wherever we go. On the downside, they keep us connected wherever we go! But there are few things as annoying as a weak or nonexistent cellular signal. Choppy calls and dropped calls are enough to frustrate anyone. Maybe you’re thinking about changing cellular providers. Before you do, visit SignalMap. It plots cellular signals on a map. You can see how good a carrier’s service is in your area. Right now, SignalMap’s motto is “Beta is an understatement.” So do your part to help out the site. Take the time to add your own signals and dead spots.

In my apartment I have a really difficult time to get any bars with a Samsung phone (tried several), have okay signal with a Nokia (all models that I've tried, except in the loo), and the ones that work best are SonyEricsson that give me a perfect signal all the time. :)
