check this out for number of posts on IMDb for the three pirates movies:

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)  6,610  6 hours ago
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)  9,264  28 minutes ago
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007)  66,298  47 seconds ago

(remember the last movie hasn't even been released yet)

compare to the LotR numbers:


 The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)  2,673  1 hour ago  
 The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)  2,603  29 minutes ago  
 The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)  8,733  43 minutes ago 

least all of  'em are still active boards (YMMV... watch out for the trolls!)

I'll bet lotr was pretty full back in the days we were waiting for them to come out.
Lots of long threads on the Pirates 3 one - that mounts up. I think threads fall off after a certain amount of time though.

I think the maximum number of posts is the same on all the boards, but the numbers on the boards in your favorites is an accurate reflection of the number of posts to a given board.

I once transcribed the 'pea scene' in IR, never saved it but posted it on Viggo's board, and it fell off the board before I'd realized threads left.

The Viggo board is down from the last time you did a count - which was in the 3000's somewhere. Now in the mid 2000's. Lots of threads with little or no answers. It's been a while since he's had a movie out *sigh*

I didn't think the number of total posts could actuallly decrease. I guess part of it is due to the fact Alatriste has had very very limited showings in the US?
