Amadeus

Mozart is one of the most popular and most revered composers ever. And last year marked the 250th anniversary of his birth.

As you can imagine, there were thousands of performances of his work all across Austria last year.

And to top things off, the Mozart Foundation has created an online database of Mozart's work. There are about 24,000 pages of sheet music. This includes everything Mozart ever wrote.

You'll also find plenty of critical writing on the composer's work. Unfortunately, it isn't in English. So, unless you know German, you won't be able to read it. Likewise, when you search the database, make sure you click English in the upper right corner.

If you're a fan of Mozart, you'll want to bookmark this site. The Foundation promises to keep updating the database. So expect to see Mozart's letters sometime next year.

Lovely. I recently viewed some of Mozart's manuscripts at an exhibition here in NYC: They were remarkably pristene.

That's cool. I have no idea what to do with the sheet music, but I will be eating some Mozart chocolate that my friend picked me up during his travels- it's really good- it has Marzipan.
