Today's Cool Site...

Cooking the easy way

At one time or other, we've all found ourselves with an almost empty refrigerator and bare cupboards.

But that doesn't mean you have to rush to the grocery. You just need to be creative.

You can get ideas at Cooking By Numbers. Use the list to select the ingredients you have on hand. Then click Find Recipes. You'll get a list showing you what you can (or can almost) make.

There are some interesting cooking ideas here. There's also a little bit of cheeky humor. And, depending on what exactly is in your refrigerator, you may want to go to the grocery store anyway!

That is really quite cool. I'm off to make a cheese souffle and a cup of coffee!

I am seriously impressed with myself. In the last 5 days I have cooked 6 meals and a pineapple upside down cake. I think I need to stop and take a rest. I'll be doing housework next :)

I love anyone who can show you simple, fast cooking that actually tastes good. That's why I'm a big Rachel Ray fan as well.

I wasn't too inspired by many of his recipes - fish in cheese sauce? not my style, thanks. But any guy who writes a cookbook about Jell-O shots is alright in my book.

The page keeps coming up unavailable. If anyone here needs to know how to cook with crap, it's me, cuz I'm fer sure a crap cook. Derrr, I'll keep trying. It's like that guy McGuyver, right? Give him a match and a shoelace, and he builds an atomic bomb? That's for me!
By the way, I need to make tollhouse cookies, and was wondering if anyone ever tried using equal instead of sugar? Seems I heard somewhere that it doesn't turn out as well as it would have you believe? Anyone?

Cheers,

Janet

That doesn't sound too good. I think that the cookies would probably be less fluffy, and of course, have an acrid taste. I was just eat one cookie with regular sugar. I tend not too favor foods created in laboratories.
