Bob's Chocolate Chips
4 cups Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda -- rounded
1 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Shortening -- butter flavored
1 1/2 cup Brown Sugar, Packed
1 tablespoon Vanilla
1/3 cup Dark Corn Syrup
2 Medium Eggs
12 Ounces Chocolate Chips
1 cup Chopped Pecans
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, soda, and salt. Beat
Crisco, brown sugar, vanilla, and corn syrup. Beat in eggs. Add
combined dry ingredients. Mix well. Stir in chips and nuts. Drop
by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 11
minutes, or until light brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet.
Remove to wire rack. Makes approximately 5 dozen cookies.
