Tame your Bookmarks

Bookmarks (or Favorites) are one of the best features of Web browsers. They make it a snap to return to a favorite site on the Internet.

Unfortunately, the Web is always changing. A site you visited yesterday may not be there tomorrow.

So it's easy to end up with a list of dead sites. Or, you might also end up with duplicate sites.

I like to keep my Bookmarks well organized. I use AM-DeadLink to weed out dead links and duplicate sites. It works with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera.

I'm sure your Bookmarks list is filled with sites from my newsletters. So download AM-DeadLink and get them organized!

Collecting bookmarks has become my new version of cutting out too many recipes. Eeep!

When we got our first computer with a modem in it (early 90's), I started calling local BBS and got to know people through FidoNet, a bulletin board network that reached all over the country. The areas that seemed the friendliest to me were the cooking / recipe areas, and I'm still in occasionally email contact with a couple of these folks. (Funny how interests change at different stages of one's life, you know?) Consequently I collected tons of recipes that I sorted through two different recipe database programs. Always have had a ton more recipes than I'll ever cook.
