ridiculous (that's an eBay link for the Sony Playstation 3 if you don't want to click)! And they say on the news people have been robbed and shot for these things.

14 year old says he'd rather buy a used car... why do I see wheels in his future?!?

I have an LJ friend who works at BB and has been telling us about the lines and how many units they have. It just crazy!

P.S. Cool icon!

Are they sold out at their store?

They only had 28 units and the manager had to go out to the line and tell them that only the first 28 in line were going to get one. He told them that so the others wouldn't waste their time in line. She said that a lot of them were buying them to put up on eBay for sale. That's just sad and pathetic.

They didn't have any problems at their store, but heard of a lot of problems at other BBs.

The Wal-Mart in the same city only got 5!

The kids say our BB has 33 of 'em...and they knew someone who was #34 in line. Poor kid!

I can't believe those things are selling for so much. Hopefully hubby won't accidently bid on one while he's checking out the auctions!

I'm glad that the new adult invested in a PS2 (as long as he doesn't somehow break that as well). No reply to my email enquiring how it got so seriously damaged - why does that not surprise me.

OMG! That's more than my horse is costing! Mother of God! I need more money, methinks! LOL! We're getting the family a PS2 for xmas as the first one broke after four years! I thought $150 was pricey for that!

So, for that much money, does it do my dishes, mop my floors, dust, and 'service' my husband? Cause for that much money, it had better!

Pardon the vulgarity!

FFS! It's just a toy! And it'll be outdated in 6-12 months. I remember when the X-Box first came out and they were going for outrageous prices - what are they worth now? Nothing.

For that cash, buy a kick ass computer system and play games on that, at least you get internet speed, storage, and processing power along with it!

I watched the really stupid The Break Up last weekend. I can picture Vince Vaughn in front of one of those things!

Hubby says he's going to sit at his computer tonight, pay bills, and gander over to eBay to watch auctions end.

That is absolutely insane. What's even MORE insane is that somebody will pay it.

Gotta just love rampant consumerism. Merry Christmas everyone! :)

The smooth jazz station I was listening to at work played a heck o' a lot of Christmas music. I'm not ready yet (for the music, much less the shopping)

I thought a friend of mine was crazy for going to the toy store loading dock at midnight to get cabbage patch dolls. This surpasses that to the extreme.
And WHY do all the stores have Xmas stuff out since Sept??????? What ever happened to waiting until Thanksgiving was over????????? Nuts.

Wow, that's incredible. Why do people go so insane about these things, like the world's going to end if they or their kids don't get the latest 'must have'? It's like 13 year old kids getting mugged for their mobiles (cells)in England. I really have a problem with why these youngsters need these really expensive pieces of kit. Is it peer pressure or pressure from manufactures? I think the world has gone insane. Okay, gotta go, must mosey on over to the Land of Leather page and drool over that leather sofa I REALLY MUST HAVE!!! LOL.

I never got the whole "gaming" thing w/ online games or Playstations. We don't have one. So much time and money!

Really? No gams system at all for the kids?

Hubby had an Atari when we met, although he doesn't play either the PS2 or Gamecube with the kids much. Actually nobody plays 'em too much lately!

Too much homework I guess?
