Locke's disjointed life

At least it seems that way to me in the flashbacks.

Do you think we're seeing these flashbacks in order? His life doesn't seem to make sense to me, and everytime they do another Locke-centric show I keep waiting to see how he became paralyzed. And they never tell me!

And is the cop-kid going to die in yet another flashback?!?

not enough nekkid Desmond

Hurley cracked me up big time, first coming across nekkid Des, then offering clothes that he sniffs first. LOL

Oh yeah and once again there's a serious Jesus-look going on for Des.  Careful - too much of that and he'll have a messiah complex!

Boone

Didn't really do much for me alive, but he looked really good last night. And I enjoyed his commentary in the wacko fantasy airport sequence. Keep up the good work, Boone,  and hope to see you again real soon!

What was Locke smokin' anyway?

how many castaways can talk?

Why is it all of a sudden people who didn't have names, who never spoke, are getting lines? Next thing you know they'll have backstory!

the cave

Oh yeah... the Tonka truck in the cave. Where are the kids?

Anyway. Enough for now :).

Yeah, I get tired of some of the flashbacks, especially when it doesn't contribute to the story. What was Locke's whole f'back supposed to have to do w/the story?

I loved it when the knife stuck in Hurley's canteen and he says, "Dude." Even better than Keanu's "whoa".

Locke's whole steam tent thing reminded me of Vanishing Point.

To show he knew what to do with the right stuff? They seemed to have one of those mediation tents in the flashback I think.

Hurley can say that one word with so many different inflections. He makes me laugh.

The stuff Locke used was probably the same stuff he put on Boone when he saw Shannon dead. Locke knows it allows one to see things they wouldn't see with it's aid. What is it ... I have no idea. He knows something about a plant on that island that nobody else does ... or do they?

The sweat lodge was used in Vanishing Point. They are used in most Native American Indian cultures and the traditions vary, but mainly are very spiritual events for cleansing the body of sins or illness.

I'm betting the Others know about it. After all, they're readomg "Carrie" in a book discussion group, and find Walt an interesting subject to study... considering his talents.

You've given this a lot of thought, haven't you! Locke was on some kind of vision quest, and from what i know (not personally) people doing this usually take some type of hallucinogen to "open their minds" as it were. Sometimes peyote, not sure what else it would be.

Found this if you're interested... http://www.crystalinks.com/visionquest.html

Anyhow, I just wish that every once in a while, we could get a question answered without 10 more opening up. Talk about Pandora'a Box!

Yes, Boone was hot, so was Kate in the airport sequence.

Thank God for the comic relief of Hurley! What ever happened with that bird, anyway?

I could have sworn that the man at the head of the table at that picnic was "Zeke" from the Others. Hubby says no. Oh well, only three more episodes until the long wait!

Very interesting link - 2-4 days? Makes me wonder just how long Locke was in there.

This show was much more intriguing to me than the first two. Maybe because it involved more people?

What ever happened with that bird, anyway?

methinks he's still looking for Hurley.

Might have to rewatch and see if I see Zeke in there.

I don't think it was Zeke. Locke would have recognized him.

BTW, the CGI on the polar bear sucked! And really, a polar bear would have eaten Ecko, not kept him like a trophy! Sheesh!

As usual, Lost delivered on another suitably eerie dream sequence. They excel at those.

I know what you mean about the "nothing is connected" feeling of Locke's flashbacks. Though it seems like the conclusions of all his flashbacks always come back to him having to stare his own weakness in the face due to always making bad decisions.

Perhaps when Boone told him in his vision that he had to "clean up his own mess", he wasn't ONLY referring to his failing in the hatch.

And yes, Boone looked especially hot in the flashbacks where he never really did before. I guess death has been good to him! :)

Maybe these writers take an hallucinogen before contemplating such sequences!

You're right... Locke always comes across as seeming incredibly weak, but not on the island.

More dead Boone! More dead Boone!

Okay, seeing Boone was a nice twist. However, we still don't know how Locke gets paralyzed. Airport scene was cool, but how many clues where in that sequence and how many did I miss. That's just frustrating. (And just what was that black stuff he ate, was it the same stuff he gave Boone when he was trying to figure out his feelings for Shannon?) What happens at "The Compound" Locke was at? Do I care?

I knew they were adding two new people, but to just have them thrust into the story line like that? That was abrupt. We always knew there were more Losties, they were in the background, but we never knew who they were.

Desmond ends up nekkid in the jungle and Eko ends up as a trophy for the polar bear?

Desmond nekkid, yes please.

Eko, the bones, the tonka truck, the polar bear, the way he talked to Locke, but then appeared unconscious when Charlie got back? *My Head Is Spinning*

Desmond, is he in some sort of time warp or can he now predict the future?

Then the preview, torture Sawyer to get Kate to admit she loves him? *Am Confused*

Remember the last scene of last season when Michael asks "Who are you people?" and Henry (who we now know as Ben) says "We're the good guys."

Oh, Really?

This is not answering any questions, but just adding more. Then they are going on an almost two month break. You're going to lose me people!

Has anyone else fallen in love with "Heroes" on NBC, Monday nights at 8:00pm CDST. I love this show.

Okay, I'll stop now ;)

Boone said a heck of a lot about a lot of people while he was pushing Locke around. All clues?

I hadn't connected what he did to Boone to this mystical stuff. Learned in the same place? (I thought they were just overgrown flower children?)

Was Eko really talking? Or was Locke having a vision of sorts again?

I wonder about Des. Did the electromagnetic whatever it is, throw him into a different time/space continuum (is this logical Spock?!?), so he experienced what Locke was saying? So when he was on the beach and Locke was speaking was he really hearing it for the first time?

If the Others are the good guys, are "our" guys in purgatory? Limbo? (I know the writers have supposedly said that isn't the case, but what do they know? They may be making it up as they go along, changing on a whim)

I've not seen Heroes. Just starting to get into Dr McDreamy here... can't add too many shows at once! :-O

Heroes is a good show if you get a chance to watch it, very much in the vein of LOST, but with more action :)

http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/

I really like Sendhil Ramamurthy who plays Mohinder Suresh, the son of the Dr who was investigating the people with 'abilities' before he was murdered. The son has taken up 'the cause', as it were.

LauraLynn- I like Heroes too. I agree about Sendhil. I thought Syid was hot, but Mohinder is smoking (but not as good as an actor)!

Wowie- what you said about some of the characters all of the sudden having names and lines- I would normally be annoyed by that as well, but my man Rodrigo showed last night. He is Paulo. I thought I read that he was one of "The Others," but it looks like he is a good guy (for now).

I just uploaded a Sendhil Ramamurthy icon! (And I agree with you that Naveen is a better actor)

It's a very cool show :)

P.S. Rodrigo as Paulo is HOT!

I tend to do that too. I mean, Liam, Colin, Alan, Emma...you just can't go wrong. Of course, there's also the wonderful Bill Nighy. Oh gods, Billy Mack is hilarious.

And the stuff with Frances Delatour in the deleted scenes just breaks my heart. I wish they'd kept that in.

BIlly Nighy was the one that really sucked me in to that movie the first time I saw it - he does such an excellent job with that character.

LA is another comfort movie for me. So many plots that finally come together as a cohesive story near the end. :(

I'm beginning to think that we may one day see the Others as the good guys, or at least we will begin to doubt ourselves about the Losties. Shit, if I gave this much thought to my cooking and my checkbook, I'd be a better balanced chef!

Oh, Mc Dreamy! Yum, but Mc Steamy is a bad boy hottie, and the 22 year old in me loves that!

As for Hero's, I tried to get into it, but I'm with wowie, I can't add any more new shows! I still watch ER, even though they need to end it already. With Grey's, Lost and Bothers and Sisters, I hardly have time for Larry King and Dog the Bounty Hunter! LOL!!! (and laundry, fahgitabuddit!) I have never been a TV junkie, but this season, something has gotten into me!

But hubby loves it, very "X Men-ish". NBC is re-running all of the episodes on Sunday if anyone wants to catch up!

I wanna know if the surgical residents in my hospital have such interesting lives. ;)

*snort* I don't know about the surgical residents at mine, but the medical residents are idiots. One of 'em tried to make me (I was charge nurse, she had to go through me first. LOL) give one of our patients POTASSIUM gluconate to bring her POTASSIUM level down. I said "you mean calcium gluconate". She didn't. I told her I wasn't letting her kill my patient. We called the doc. He chewed her out. It was hilarious.

Oh, and in the soap opera category...the wife of one of our docs caught him screwing around and left him.... I love the guy to death, but y'know, it serves him right.

I'm still pissed off at the Grey's Anatomy folks for that thing they did last season (vaguely worded in case anybody who's reading this hasn't seen yet). I have a thing for the person they did it to. I am similarly annoyed at the people behind Supernatural, if that makes it any clearer ;-)
