juggling heads...

One of the dudes on the Corsair ship gets made up...

Captain Corsair!

I just thought Frodo looked cute...

elfboy!

Nice wig, hm?

boo. So much for "Return of the King". (but thanks for capping what there was)

I get the feeling this segment was a real let-down for Viggo after it was all put together. Of course, the title isn't what Tolkien originally imagined, and the king hasn't got the big part in it that Frodo does. False hopes...and greedy marketing by NewLine, who knew what a draw Viggo had become.

Will be interesting to see how they sucker us me in next.

I've read in several places of folks who've had problems with disc #1 of these movies and jumping / stuttering / freezing of the movie. Boo indeed.

A totally separate whatever, like the National Geographic specials work best IMO.

Thanks for all these caps Wowie. As I can't possibly justify buying these DVDs to myself or to my family these are probably the nearest I'm going to get :)

Do you think Viggo's doing his best Hamlet impersonation with that skull?

No clue what he was doing but they were obviously all having a blast.

I will definately not get this one. "Return of the King" has always been a letdown for me where Aragorn was concerned. Way too much of the hobbits!! Of course I am not into Tolkien, I am into Viggo!!!*LOL* New Line would NOT have gotten my money if not for him. Thanks for sharing what little there was of him!

Poor Christopher Lee - he had it worse than Viggo I think. Poor old guy. ;)

That's right they did cut alot of him didn't they. I always think of him as Dracula.

I agree with you all. RotK was a real letdown after TTT. The character of Aragorn had been so well developed in the second film, his awareness and final acceptance of his destiny was captured so well. I was really looking forward to the third film as the final fulfillment of this. Instead what did we get? Hour after hour of hobbits clambering up a mountain. *sighs*

I just wanted more Houses of Healing.

The Houses of Healing sequence in the extended edition made me laugh so much; Eowyn and Faramir making googly eyes at each other...

It seemed a bit overboard to me. Like all of the sudden these two are madly in love?

Exactly. Is Aragorn really that easy to get over??

That's a rhetorical question BTW....

Maybe to Eowyn...

"I just wanted more Houses of Healing."

Me, too, Wowie. Me, too. The whole healing/fulfillment of prophecy thing was avoided like the plague, and it is was one of my favorite things about the book in general, and Aragorn, specifically. When he secretly entered the White City, and went about healing his people, and left as quietly as he had come... oh my. I waited three years to see that, and it wasn't even in the EE. I can't forgive PJ for that omission. It could easily have been done. He just didn't want to include it.

And I definitely had more than enough of Sam and Frodo in ROTK.

But anyway, many thanks for the caps. Still haven't gotten around to watching the TTT and ROTK documentaries. FOTR was such a disappointment, I'm in no hurry to watch the others. All the hype about the Costa Botes documentaries was just that -- hype to sell more DVDs. Do you suppose they'll do the same thing with bloopers in about 2 or 3 years? *sigh*

I'm hoping when they do something similar down the road they just offer the documentary.

RotK was definitely the biggest disappointment in the films to me too. PJ et al could have gone a very different track with the script, but chose to make it totally hobbitcentric. Oh well.

Too many pictures to count ;)

You're right that guy does have a Diego look going on. That was quite the silly scene and for a second I wasn't sure if it was Viggo or a double.

Thanks for all the capping efforts, even if there wasn't that much worth capping! :)

I still find the documentaries interesting just for the "how did they do that?" factor. Seeing extra stuff with the actors we know and lust over is all well and good, but we also shouldn't lose sight of the thousands and thousands of people who did their small parts to make these films the success that they were.

Okay, stepping off soapbox now. :D

Don't get me wrong because I'm loving these documentaries. I know a lot of folks are only looking at them for the Viggo (or maybe some other actor) factor!

Takes a while to get used to Viggo's voice coming out of Aragorn!
