If you're a LotR behind-the-scenes fan, you will enjoy these DVDs. If you are looking for Aragorn / Viggo, you'll be let down as there isn't too much.

Bless you for this! You probably just saved me five hours. Sorry about the lack of Aragorn.

So weird to see Aragorn and hear Viggo's voice coming out of him. There's not too much of that on any other extras out there, and it's on both of the discs so far.

Unfortunately, you're absolutely right, I was very disappointed in the one from FOTR (haven't seen the others yet). Some of the "behind-the-scenes how they did that" stuff was new and interesting, but I was surprised at how much of the material was already included on the earlier special features, contrary to what's been advertised. And they were never my favorite parts to begin with -- Elijah, Dom, and Billy pretending to talk behind one another's back, Sean Astin's foot.... And I was shocked at how little there was about Viggo, Sean, and Orlando. They did, however, interview every other person in New Zealand who had anything to do with anything, and a few who didn't. Even knowing all this, I would have bought the DVDs, as there are brief moments that are special (Viggo fishing, for example) -- and I tend to be a completist anyway. But jeez. I can't figure out what "wowed" the crowds at that event in New Zealand at which this FOTR documentary was aired. Personally, I was greatly underwhelmed. It is distressing to think about how much I was anticipating these documentaries....

Thanks, wowie, for the lovely caps from the other DVDs; guess there are at least some moments to look forward to.

I'm sorry we didn't have the foresight to hire another person to follow Viggo/Aragorn around and make a documentary all about him. Now THAT I would pay big bucks to see.

Thanks for capping this! You have reminded me yet again of what a sexy ranger Viggo actually was. (As if any reminders were necessary.) :)

these are great caps...and great scenery aye?? But...I have seen the "behind the scenes" of Aragorn on that creature and butting heads on one of our old discs...it's not really new like they advertised!!!

Thanks, wowie, it's nice to see the ranger again. I'm passing on buying these...I really don't need another set of the films, but I will rent them for the extras.
