There was at least one other episode with flashbacks on the island ... Claire's flashbacks while in the hatch with Ethan. Then wasn't there another one about the second group of survivors (Anna's group)?

I think Michael shot Ana Lucia so the rest of the gang would have enough ammunition to want to go after The Others. Seems a little extreme, but hey- it's TV.

Actually, there was even more to it than that. Michael shot Ana Lucia to make it look as though Henry did it prior to his "escape". Remember, part of the deal that Michael made with the Others was that he was to set Henry free. So in order to not blow his cover, he had to eliminate any witnesses.

I wonder if Locke will be the "loose cannon" in all this business about going after the Others. After all they hope it'll be Michael and the four... what happens when Locke & Sayid show up, upsetting any plans they have?

The whole funeral scene at the end was incredibly touching though. Hurley obviously trying not to choke up. Kate trying to be comforting. And then. And THEN. Claire actually taking Charlie's hand. THAT was a definite "awwwww" moment. :)

So what's up with this boat, d'ya think?? Is that the same boat that Michael mentioned during his captivity with the Others?

I think the boat Michael was referring to was the boat the "Others" were on when they captured Walt. There is another boat associated with this though -- the boat Desmond arrived on. Could it be these boats are only one boat and the "Others" took it from Desmond? Another interesting thing I noticed last night ... during Michael's flashbacks, there was a name mentioned by one of the "Others" (I think it was Vincent although not the dog) -- isn't that the name of the person who arrived with Desmond or welcomed Desmond to the program? Hmmmm ....

The fact the Michael is so focused on getting Walt back he can't see that the "Others" aren't what they seem to be. I just hope that Sayid can get Jack to listen to him and make him believe that it's a trap.

I think the "Others" want those people because they are 'bad' and leaders. Ones that would prevent them from doing whatever it is they are doing.

I have a real fear that something will happen to Charlie, though.

The two hour episode will be very explosive.

I have a couple thoughts about this ... one thought is they have all "seen" someone or something on the island (Jack -- his father, Hurley -- the "see you in another life" guy, Kate -- the horse; representative of someone in her life, Sawyer -- the boar; representative of someone in his life). The other thought is that they have all been responsible for someone's death.

I'm thinking that Walt will be killed off. I hate to think it, but realisically (I don't think I spelled that right, not enough coffee. Deal!) he is already 13. His voice will change, he'll grow, mature. If this show is going to be around for the next 4 or 5 years, and after two years they've only been on the island for 2 months, what else will they do??? Any ponderings????

BTW, loved the exchange between Jack and Sawyer, got a little misty! And loved the whole "We got caught in a net", "Is that what you kids are calling it these days" had me ROTF!!!!!

This is TV ... and LOST, so just about anything goes. Michael was gone most of this season, and in LOST time he was only gone for two weeks. I don't think the "Others" plan on giving Walt back anyway.

Ya know ... they already had Kate once and they could have gotten Sawyer from the boat too. I don't think the writers know where they're going with this ... I'd really like to be in LA this weekend to see if I could find out though ;-) -- (the LOST gathering is this weekend and maybe some of the cast and writers will be there like they were last year).

i'm thinking....these people are the reason this experiment or whatever it is, went wrong. remember fake/henry said their leader is an all powerful man but does not forgive easy. maybe he has exiled them due to there incompetance
