Time for a holiday
Aug. 4th, 2007 07:35 amIt’s just about time for the children to head back to school. For some parents, this will come as a bit of a relief. With school in session, the kids will be fully occupied. But most parents are probably seeing dollar signs. The cost of clothes, books and supplies can add up quickly. Well, many states sponsor tax holidays. For a short period of time, you don’t pay state tax on certain purchases. The items covered by the tax holidays vary from state to state. Now for the really good news: Many states are holding tax holidays this weekend! So act fast to save some cash on back-to-school necessities. There are also links to official sites where you can find out more information. If your state has a tax holiday at a different time of the year, mark it on your calendar.
