Possible New Movies for Viggo?

says there are two new potential projects that Viggo may be attached to, but neither movie seem to be in the IMDb database (not that they know everything there), so who knows?

I would love for him to do a great, grown up romance. AWOTM was fab but seriously, how many times does he have to do a sex scene? It's like he gets his rocks off doing stuff where he gets to grope some actresses boobage and pass it off as critical to the plot. Perv! Anyway, not sure following some genie around sounds terribly grown up but you know what I mean, something like Bridges of Madison County were they actually act! All this grim, dark stuff is just getting on my tits now. Lighten up Viggo, you miserable old git! LOL

I agree- #1 sounds a bit ridiculous. #2 might be interesting. I am sure the director would work in some sort of Viggo nudity or love scene- it seems he rarely has a film without it.

If he's ever going to do a romance, now is the time to do it, before the craggy lines get deeper. It sounds offbeat enough to appeal to him.

Neither of those sounds at all appealing to me -- the first one does not seem likely, unless, of course, Viggo plays the genie....

The second sounds akin to Sean's The Hitcher (a summer release horror flick) -- ick. Other names "associated" with Sudden darkness are John Malkovich and Matt Dillon, according to this site. Of the two directors shown, one has a stage background, and there is no info listed for the other. Viggo's casting sounds like wishful thinking to me, but I guess one never knows!

I agree with the consensus here that the first one sounds like complete hokum whereas the second certainly has potential.

I think what happens when these films are pitched is that the writers suggest the sort of actors they think will define the role. What was that Robert Altman film where there was an extremely funny pitch scene? The Player, that's it. Just because the writer/studios/executives think Viggo would be good for their film doesn't mean he's actually been approached, does it??

The first sounds like a cross between 'I Dream of Jeannie' and 'Indiana Jones'. It has the potential I suppose, provided they can get the right actress to play the genie. I prefer the sound of the second movie personally.

I don't really like the description of the 1st movie. Maybe it would be better than the description. Some movie descriptions are just awful representations.

The films aren't even mentioned on IMDb, so I'm taking this all with a grain of salt. Hm, maybe that should be a stiff drink instead? ;)
