I have seen people (tourists), putting ice from glaciers in plastic-bags. But at least they get that water (or ice in their drinks on board the cruise-ships) for free.

We made a snowman, snowgirl, and a snowdog last week. We made their faces out of carrots, raisins, and walnuts. Within about an hour the birds and squirrels had ripped the poor snow family's faces right off! (S'alright, though. Sharing with animal friends was the intention. We were just surprised it happened so fast!)

Went up to Lake Tahoe for a few days for a family get together right before Christmas, and my brothers, now in their forties, immediately set about building their old standard... the igloo. Only with all the kids around to help, it was more like a condo, with several rooms and a working fireplace inside. The kids even slept in it one night.
Yeah, for about three hours, and then needed to come back in for emergengy hot cocoa injections. Reminded me of their first forays into their back yards to camp out. The older ones scared the younger ones back inside with Big Foot stories. Too funny.
